Not their best work? Try this.

When a child shows you their coloring, drawing, artistic creation, etc. do you feel obligated to give an ENTHUSIASTIC and uplifting response when asked by the child if you like it? We tend to feel like we should react in a way that assures the child their work is a true masterpiece, for fear of hurting their feelings or risking damage to their self-esteem. However, not every scribble and playdough blob is special, which means we shouldn’t react as though they are. Here is what you can try instead…
